The ACT Government announced further easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the ACT.
From Friday 19 June 2020:
Sports requiring full contact, such as judo, are permitted to start full contact training
Up to 100 people indoors, or 1 person per 4 square metres, whichever is lesser.
Other easing of restrictions for sport from 19 June 2020 are:
Group size for participation is increasing to 100 - physical distancing, good personal and respiratory hygiene must continue.
Communal facilities such as changerooms and canteens may now be reopened provided food service requirements are met, along with general hygiene and physical distancing principles.
Spectators should not exceed the total group gathering size of 100. The number of spectators allowed in indoor venues should remain in line with the 4 square metres per person requirement with no more than 100 people.
Individuals are encouraged to continue the “Get in, Train/Play, Get out” mindset.
Furthermore, Judo ACT supports IJF Recommended Protocols for the Resumption of Judo Activities under Safe Conditions during Covid-19 Pandemic for Protocol of Preventive Vigilance – Level 1. Besides the 1 person per 4 square metres ACT Government requirement, all other IJF Level 1 protocols, where possible, should be followed.
